About The Artist
Tere Casas was born in Mexico City. At 17 she participated in photography and technical visual representation classes in Canada. She later studied engraving, linoleum, monotype, embossing, serigraphy and copper plate and zinc. In 2000 she graduated from the Universidad Anáhuac, Mexico City, with a BS in Graphic Design. She colaborated in the Mexican Gallery of design in Mexico City and worked along the famous Guillermo Pacheco in Oaxaca, Mexico. In Oaxaca she had the oportunity to be a student of the Master Sergio Hernández and worked at the engraving studio with Fernando Sandoval. Five years later, she attended Parsons in New York City, where she studied Business of Art and Mixed Media.
